Clear HR Roles definition in HR Business Partnering

The HR Business Partnering introduction is about the change of the role of Human Resources. This change can improvement the satisfaction of employees and managers in the long-term view, but it will bring dissatisfaction in the beginning of the implementation.

The managers usually take Human Resources as the supporting function, which solves all the employee related issues in their departments. They take HR as the function to bring solutions to their wishes and they do not discuss potential solutions usually. The managers know best. The right solution is in the head of the manager. Honestly, we are not different, we like the situation, when everyone says, that we are the best.

With the HR Business Partnering model, the role of Human Resources changes dramatically. Human Resources does not bring the solutions, HR brings the opinion to the discussion, HR brings advice and managers and HR share the selected solution. They have to be in the agreement.

The change of the HR Role is so dramatic, that many managers have a problem to accept the new HR approach. Human Resources has to make a clear statement in the beginning about the changes in the approach as the managers are not surprised by the endless discussions. They need time to accommodate to their new role in the HR Process of the Business Partnering.

Many of them do not accept it, but when the HR Business Partner is really good, they at least stop complaining.
