The strategy has to be implemented

Creating strategies is a very interesting job. People love to participate in the process of the design of the new strategy. Maybe HR Strategies are included. That is the main reason, many strategies are created and less strategies are implemented into the daily business life. As creating strategies is interesting, the implementation phase is long and boring. The people do not like to overcome challenges on a daily basis.

The implementation of the strategy needs a lot of the patience and the aspiration to implement has to be turned into the real implementation. The organizations announce a lot of aspirations and they announce many goals, which are not monitored and implemented. The organization makes the proclamation, but there is no sponsor to implement for. It is extremely easy to put the new strategy on the shelf as the implementation is not urgent and the top management does not monitor it. The HR Business Partnering concept implementation can be the same case, the implementation cannot be monitored on a daily basis and there is no progress visible. When the HR Director does not focus on the implementation daily, the results are not achieved.

The HR Business Partnering has a very important role in the strategy implementation. The HR Business Partners have to provoke a daily and constant discussion about the processes, people and procedures to be aligned with the new strategy as all the involved parties have to speak about the troubles on the way forward. It is nice to approve the new strategy, when you know, it is impossible to implement it at agreed costs and you do not speak about it. You just wish, there is no will to implement it.

The HR Business Partnering is not about talking nice, it is about providing the honest feedback and telling your opinion to the partner to keep them on the right track.
